Las Vegas Turkish Food
Watching your weight? Try eating more Turkish food! Turkish food is actually one of the healthiest options for eating out. Why? Simple. Turkish Food is mostly kebabs, meats, and rice. Kebabs are high protein, filling, and much lower calorie than most other dishes. Turkish Restaurants are known for serving Greek and Mediterranean salads too, which are excellent sources of vitamins and low calorie. An example of a healthy meal at a Turkish Restaurant would be red lentil soup to start, with the entree being Doner kebab plate with rice, and desert being a cup of tea with a single piece of Baklava. This sample meal is extremely filling and high in protein. A lot of restaurants offer french fries in lieue of rice, but stick to rice. It's much healthier.
Mediterranean Grill Las Vegas
A casual Turkish restaurant is fairly inexpensive too. A single dish of doner that includes rice is typically less than $10. The place I eat at regularly is called Maza Mediterranean Grill in Las Vegas. I can get a large filling dish for $10. The food there is Halal too, but I don't really follow Halal, so it doesn't mean anything to me.
